What Can I Expect During My Denture Treatment?
Before starting the denture process, we will first need to extract any remaining teeth and allow 6 – 8 weeks for the gums and jaw to heal. In the meantime, we may provide you with immediate (temporary) dentures to allow you to eat and speak comfortably. Once your mouth is healed and ready, our team will take impressions of the top and lower arches. These impressions will be sent to our partner lab, which will craft your customized dentures. Full and partial dentures are made with lightweight resin, which may be supported by a metal framework. Made of high-grade biocompatible materials, dentures are meant to replicate the look of your natural teeth and gumline. Once your restorations are finished and arrive at Fresh Dentistry, we will have you check in for a fitting. Dr. Brown will alter your restorations so they fit securely or connect them to previously positioned titanium implants. A member of our team will also go over the proper steps for cleaning and maintaining your dentures.
